This involves women and girls in income generating activities and mitigating causes of climate change especially human activities as one way of ensuring food security.
Key interventions to achieve this goal include developing emergency preparedness plan and risk management program. The target for 2027 is to make 50% of households of COWLHA members food secure. Specific interventions will include capacitating women in smart agriculture, promote access to productive resources especially land by women, economic empowerment through various IGAs such as small-scale businesses, promoting entrepreneur skills, farmer field schools, VSLAs, cooperatives and linkages to SMEs.
